Staff:

Charlotte holds a Masters Degree in Special Education from the University Cologne. She has worked for several years in both kindergartens and schools for the deaf in Germany. Charlotte also brings instructional experience from the European Teacher exchange program, spending time abroad in Guildford, England. Charlotte knows a wide range of pedagogical environments. Before working for German ISD, she was an independent language teacher, both privately and at the Goethe Center in Dallas. Charlotte is a mother of three young boys.

Nici Bremer (Treasurer)
Nici has extensive experience in finance as an apprentice and employee with with a German Bank. Educated in Germany, Nici worked for the Dresdner Bank and currently serves on the board of several nonprofit organizations in the Dallas Metroplex. She provides strong financial and governance experience to the boards she serves. Most recently, Nici serves as the Human Resource chair and member of the board of directors of the Christ Lutheran Child development center, which provides care and educational services for more than 100 children. Nici is also the mother of three teenage children.
Jürgen von Hövell
Jürgen von Hövell, born in Berlin, Germany spent his professional career mainly as CEO/Managing Director of foreign subsidiaries of German multi-national industrial corporations. He left his home country in 1963 on assignments in France, England, Spain, USA, Argentina, Hong Kong and Singapore. In 1997, Jürgen and his wife Marilyn returned permanently to the United States. They have one daughter who teaches primary school in McAllen, Texas. Jürgen is retired but very active in church and charity projects.
Andreas Bremer
Andreas Bremer was raised and educated in Germany. He, his wife, Nici, and their three children have been living in the United States since 1990. During his time in Atlanta he helped form a number of organizations for the German Church. Andreas has worked extensively in the finance, banking and real estate sectors serving stints at the Commerzbank AG, and McKinsey & Co. Since 2002 he has served as both Executive Vice President and partner of International Capital LLC, a Dallas based commercial real estate corporation. Andreas has also served as Director of the Texas Warburg Chapter of the American Council on Germany in Dallas.

Chachy, who was born and raised in Dallas, and her German husband Hansjörg, are the proud parents of two children who attend GISD.
Chachy is an in-house attorney focusing on compliance and ethics matters, and serves as an adjunct professor of business law at SMU School of Law. She is also active with other community, professional and Board functions.
