Mission Statement

The German International School Dallas seeks to provide a high quality, balanced educational program in English and German for children of internationally-minded families. We offer a dynamic environment where each student is challenged and supported to become a dedicated learner for life and a contributing member of the local and global community.


To offer an education that will facilitate a student's transfer between international or national systems.
To offer a curriculum which will give the opportunity to gain internationally recognized qualifications.
To provide a range of activities that are personally, intellectually, academically, physically, socially and ethically stimulating and challenging.

General Information
The German International School is a bilingual school enrolling students from age 2 to grade two. The school‘s founders included members of the expatriate community in Dallas, interested public and educational officials, and International business persons, all of whom believed that the Dallas / Fort Worth required an international school in order to develop its potential as a cultural and commercial centre. The school is operated by a 501(C)3 non profit, incorporated in Texas. Operational and policy matters are addressed by the schools Chief Operating Officer & School Board.
