Charlotte von Engelbrechten
Charlotte holds a Masters Degree in Special Education from the University in Cologne. She has worked for several years in both Kindergarten’s and schools for deaf in Germany. Charlotte also brings s instructional experience from the European Teacher exchange program, spending time abroad in Guildford, England. Charlotte brings a wealth of knowledge from a wide range of pedagogical environments. She currently works as an independent language teacher, both privately and at the Goethe Center in Dallas.
Andreas Bremer
Andreas Bremer has been educated and raised in Germany. He, his wife and three children have been living in the United States since 1990. During his time in Atlanta he helped form a number of organizations for the German Church. Andreas has worked extensively in the finance, banking and real estate sectors serving stints at the COMMERZBANK AG, and McKinsey & Co. Since 2002 he has served as both Executive Vice President and partner of International Capital LLC, a Dallas based commercial real estate corporation. Andreas also serves as the Director of the Texas Warburg Chapter of the American Council on Germany in Dallas.
Nici Bremer
Nici Bremer has extensive working experience in apprentice and employee training in Germany and the United States. Educated in Germany, Nici worked for the Dresdner Bank and currently serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations in the Dallas Metroplex. She provides strong financial and governance experience to the boards she serves. Most recently, Nici serves as the Human Resource chair and member of the board of directors of the Christ Lutheran Child development center, which provides care and educational services for more than 100 children. Nici is also the mother of three teenage children.
Malte von Engelbrechten
Malte is a Maastricht schooled economist who is a graduate of various international schools. The German School of Washington DC and the European School Brussels are of particular note. Malte is involved in a number of community based organizations and currently serves as the Vice President of Eurocom Inc, the U.S. subsidiary of the Neon Products Group.
Amy Pithan
Amy Pithan brings fourteen years of teaching and curriculum development experience in both public and private settings to the board. Most recently, Amy has taught at St. Paul the Apostle School in Richardson. A native of northwest Iowa, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and French from Texas A&M University. She is involved in a range of community based organizations including in the Junior League of Dallas. Amy has served for many years as a bi lingual advocate as part of the educational experience offered in contemporary education.
Jochen Weiler
Jochen studied math and physics at the Technical University of Aachen and taught two years as an assistant teacher at a grammar school in Aachen, Germany. He then joined Nokia Networks as a technical trainer and conducted customer workshops in Europe, Asia and Australia. Jochen currently serves Nokia Networks as a Solutions Consultant for Nokia Networks, now Nokia Siemens Networks.
