Communications Team:

1. Gather information from each potential volunteer about his/her professional background, skills, interests, etc.
   

2. Keep track of which volunteers are working on what tasks.
   

3. Follow up with volunteers on the progress of all tasks and communicate to all stakeholders
   

4. Prepare newsletter and keep webpage updated
   

Fundraising, Sponsorships & Marketing Team:

1. Conduct outreach opportunities with businesses, corporations and community members
   

2. Identify individuals and organizations that may potentially fund the school
   

3. Start creating plan for fundraising events.
   

4. Develop a plan for giving levels and contributions
   

5. Create publicity materials for SBP – brochure, etc.
   

6. Create a logo
   

Student Recruiting Team:

1. Identify potential families and community groups we should recruit to reach diverse/target student population.
   

2. Keep contact list up to date (e.g., add people who sign in at meetings or other recruiting events).
   

3. Gather application materials and commitment agreements from other schools to use in the recruitment process
   

4. Create enrollment application/parent and student commitment agreement (obtain examples from other schools).
   

Governance Team:

1. Tour potential facilities with realtor.
   

2. Work with realtor, architect, and contractor to coordinate any TI projects.
   

3. Identify local banks that might be amenable to partnering with SBP.
   

4. File SBP’s tax return (nonprofit, tax-exempt).
   

5. Incorporate GISD as a 501c3 non profit and obtain tax free status from the IRS
